Only half of the COVID-19 vaccine doses delivered to US facilities have been administered so far, and providers are dealing with several challenges in administering the COVID-19 vaccines at this unprecedented scale.
Moreover, COVID-19 vaccination is 3.5 times more labor intensive than an annual flu vaccination. While vaccination clinics are running around the clock, patients may still need to wait up to three hours to get vaccinated.
We are working with providers to use Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to streamline the entire immunization process, from scheduling mass vaccination appointments to registering patients. Through automation built on the UiPath platform, Amitech’s vaccination solution optimizes these processes by automating outbound scheduling calls to the eligible patients, scheduling initial and follow up appointments for multiple doses, minimizing data entry workloads through automated registration of patients in the EHR, and reaching out again to follow up on side effects, among other things.
